32 dead body Found in Buriganga for launch accident

This incident happend around 9:30am to 10:00am on Monday. But CCTV footage, meanwhile, media reports, have said that this incident took place at 9:13am.

The launch named ML Morning Bird sank near the Farashganj ghat of Buriganga River in Dhaka because of collided with the Moyuri-2 vessel from Chandpur, said BIWTA transport inspector MD Selim.

Morning Bird launch carrying more than 50 passengers.At least 30 bodies found. 19 men, 8 women, 3 children. Two more later died from injury in Mitford Hospital, said Sadarghat Police officer-in-charge (OC) Rejaul Karim Bhuiyan.

The recovered bodies were also sent to Mitford Hospital Morgue for further legal procedure.

The state minister also announced that the government will provide Tk 150,000 each to the families of the dead.
